Expression of Interest

Welcome to Launceston’s award-winning monthly cultural food and drinks event – World Street Eats!

We have quickly become one of the most frequented events on Launceston’s monthly calendar. We are always looking for new and exciting stallholders, makers, and entertainers, ready to share their passion, culture and craft with our wonderful community!

To help us keep track of all of our amazing stallholders, we are requesting that you please fill in the Expression of Interest form to become part of our database.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

What are we looking for?

Food Vendors:

We are looking for the right mixture of savoury and sweet food vendors that can offer ethnic or internationally-inspired cuisine. Food vendors who are passionate about sharing the love behind their creations, their cultural influences and their menu items with the community. We would like to see menu choices that are tailored specifically for the event; internationally-inspired dishes that are not so common in Tasmania. While some ingredients required for ethnic dishes are not produced locally, we encourage our vendors to incorporate Tasmania’s finest produce and ingredients as much as possible.

We limit the overall number and type of food vendors for each market day. Therefore, applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. We strongly encourage potential vendors to send completed applications as soon as possible as spaces fill up quickly.

Entertainers, Performers and Buskers:

We are looking for local performers to enliven the atmosphere of our markets. The goal of our events is to highlight cultural cuisine and performances from around the world. We invite anyone to share their culture, passion, and talent with the community on our performance stage.

Emerging vendors:

At World Street Eats. we aim to encourage entrepreneurship, particularly among the newly migrated and minority groups in the community, we allocate a certain number of stalls for new small businesses to get a taste of what it is like to operate in the food service industry. We work with businesses and non-profit organisations to provide support and incentives for those who are interested in entering the industry.

Community + Non-profit groups:

We allocate one community stall site per market day to registered charities, incorporated not-for-profit organisations, education groups or other community groups to help raise awareness and their profiles. Please contact us at info@worldstreeteats.com.au for more details.

Other Vendors/Stallholders:

Our goal is to create a vibrate market that celebrates the diverse heritage of our community. If you have high-quality cultural arts, crafts, and artisan products that feature the cultural diversity of our world, we would love to hear from you!

Please email info@worldstreeteats.com.au if you are interested in participating.
